Kate Valentine is a performing artist writer and director.  She studied Dance at New York University.

As an actress Ms. Valentine is best known for her character-based comedy performances in the downtown NY scene, particularly the hilariously severe Austrian Mistress of Ceremonies character, Miss Astrid.

In addition to teaching theatre classes in the Performance Studies Department at N.Y.U., Ms. Valentine has taught in Italy, the U.K., Finland and Sweden.
